The student exchange application for Semester A 2024-25 (from September to December 2024) will be open for application from 8 April – 15 May 2024 while for Semester B 2024-25 (from January - May 2025) will be open for application from 1 September - 1 October 2024.  For departmental level student exchange, nomination and application will be handled by our departmental colleagues.  Please send your nomination to our department and provide below documents to me for inbound exchange application. The hyperlink of the required documents and online application system can be found from our departmental website:

• Application form for Visa (ID995A) (ID995B)
• Proof of English Language Proficiency (if applicable)
• Request for Visa Sponsorship & Student's Agreement (updated)
• Declaration by Financial Sponsor (Sample)
• Proof of the applicant's financial standing
• Name Page of Passport (copy only)

• Letter of Consent on Guardianship (For Students under 18)

Course information and class schedule for inbound student studying in Semester A, 2024-25, the information from the website of Admission Office: is pending for updating.  You may take reference to the list of courses for exchange students from academic year 2023-24.

The course code starting with CA2xxx, CA3xxx, CA4xxx are undergraduate courses offered by ACE Department while courses code starting with 1,2,3 or 4 are undergraduate courses.  The maximum study load for a full time student is 18 credit units per semester.  Please note that exchange students are required to take a minimum of 12 credit units of CityU courses for Semester A or B, or a minimum of 6-7 credit units for the Summer Term, and enroll as a full-time student, to meet the requirement of the Hong Kong Immigration Department for visa issuance.
