熟悉邊坡穩定與側向土壓力基本原理,具備邊坡坍方分類、邊坡破壞肇因、邊坡穩定分析、不穩定邊坡補救方法、土壤側向壓力理論、檔土結構物穩定分析和設計之基本學識能力。

VI. Earth pressure theory:
include earth pressure at rest, active earth pressure, passive earth pressure, undrained vs. drained earth pressure
VII. Earth structures: introduction, types of retaining walls
VIII. Design of retaining walls:
basic considerations, definition, limit states, simplified method of design, theoretical design
IX. Reinforced earth structures
X. Bracing structures
