Information about Graduation Procedures (Graduate Program)

Step 1: Confirm at Cheng-Kung Port that all grades are submitted to the Registrar's Division

Step 2: Login Online Application System for the application form for graduation from NCKU

  • Read 'NOTE' and check your status first.
  • You will be able to download the form after completing Questionnaires.

Step 3: Upload completed thesis and the originality report from the plagiarism detection system at the NCKU Library webpage.

  • Please check 'Writing format for thesis/dissertation' and 'Notes on Uploading issues' for preparing submission in advance.

 

Required Documents for Leaving Campus Procedures (for Department)

1. Application form for graduation with advisor's signature

2. 2 copies of printed thesis

(1) Submit 1 copy to Mr. Ni at the department library (7F at Geotechnical Eng. Building '卓群大樓')

(2) Submit 1 copy and application for embargo of thesis (if needed) to the department office for the National Central Library. 

  • A graduate student who wants to delay the public release of the printed thesis/dissertation to apply for a patent is required to fill out the “Application for Embargo of Thesis/Dissertation” to the National Central Library.
  • Doctoral degrees: All copies are bound in hardcover with a black cover. The outside front cover shall bear letters/characters in white.
  • Master’s degrees: All copies are bound in paperback with a gloss-laminated orange-yellow cover (color value reference—CMYK: C0, M40, Y80, K0, or RGB: R247, G181, B115). The outside front cover shall bear letters/characters in black.

3. Submit 1 copy of printed thesis and 3 Copyright License Agreements to NCKU library

§ Three Copyright License Agreements in total: NCKU Print Thesis&Dissertation Copyright License Agreement, NCKU Thesis&Dissertation Copyright License Agreement, and Authorization for Public Access of Thesis/Dissertation (with both you and your advisor’s handwritten signature).

4. The Office of International Affairs (Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Services)

5. The Registrar's Division to claim the diploma

§ Student will be able to apply for English Diploma after claiming Chinese diploma. Apply for it and pay via coin machine, and then submit the receipt to the Registrar's Division.
