In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university has to cooperate with the policy of the Ministry of Education. The deadline of the thesis/dissertation submission has been extended to October 31, 2021.

1. Date

 

  • The deadline for the thesis/dissertation defense is also flexible. The deadline for degree examination applications is the office workday before the opening date of school in the Fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year, and then complete their thesis/dissertation submission process by October 31, 2021, they will be able to graduate on schedule.
  • In line with the review schedule of the NCKU Library, please upload your thesis/dissertation by October15 and complete procedures for departure (https://nckustory.ncku.edu.tw/~lou/leave/) and graduation by October 31.
  • If the students are unable to complete the process of submitting their thesis/dissertation by October 31, 2021, they have to pay the tuition and fees for the Fall semester of the Academic Year 2021-2022, and if their maximum period of study has expired, they can apply for an extension of the study period.

 

2. Application

Student must fill in online application and submit forms to department office 1.5 months beforehand to be confirmed qualification by Academic Council.

 

3. Required Documents for Application

(1) Application form for department review (see attachment)

(2) Defense application form (see attachment 1)

(3) Report about the result of plagiarism detection (see attachment 2), and similarity report (see attachment 3-2)

(4) Transcript

(5) Certificate of Passing PhD Qualifying Examination

(6) The roster of examination committee members (see attachment 5)

(7) Proof of paper publication in journal(s)

(8) Primary draft thesis/dissertation

 5. Student who conducts as an on-site oral presentation or via video conferencing, please record video and submit the file (by CD or DVD) to department office.
