課程目標：

熟悉結構實驗。

課程內容概要：

(1) Illustration of displacement, force and stress. (2 weeks)
(2) Use of the Instron 8800 Materials test control system. (3 weeks)
(3) Experiment 1: Yield and ultimate stress and stress-strain curve of steel. (1 week)
(4) Theory of strain gage. (2 weeks)
(5) Experiment 2: Measurement of Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio of steel. (1 week)
(6) Introduction of a simple finite element program. (2 weeks)
(7) Experiment 3: Comparison of experimental and finite element methods. (1 week)
(8) Theory of Fatigue. (1 weeks)
(9) Experiment 4: Cyclic behavior of steel or concrete. (1 week)
(10) Theory of structural dynamics and use of LVDT. (2 weeks)
(11) Experiment 5: Static and dynamic responses of a simple beam. (1 week)
(12) Stress-strain relationship of composites. (1 weeks)
(13) Experiment6: Measurement of the material properties of composites. (1 week)
(14) Other experiment schemes to measure displacement, strain and stress fields. (1 week)
